“Excavated 2 Piece Alabama Confederate Civil War Buckle

This auction is for a extremely rare Alabama solid cast 2 piece buckle. I had 1 of the top guys in the Civil War businesses look at this buckle on line & in hand and he said he sees nothing nothing wrong with the buckle other than it's been repaired at some time another. The wreath & the tongue matches each other pretty good. He made no comment on the wreath not being original,but it don't look like a state wreath but looks like they were with each other for a long time by the color of both pieces.Wreath has writing on the back indicating were it was dug, but I can't verify it. But it was that way when I got it. The buckle really diplays nice! Really hate to sell it,I have had it for a long time,but in the process of fixing a small cabin & wood & supp,it's are not cheap.
