over after a retrofit on my mill.
Photos taken on plain pure white background to give most accurate colors rendition. Simply adjust pure white on your monitor to the white backgrounds of my pictures and you will have the most accurate colors possible over the internet.
Many sellers on eBay are either intentionally or unintentionally using all non-white backgrounds to hide the true colors of their items. If there isn't at least ONE photo with a known white area then you can't know for sure what the colors are. For example color shift towards red can make brown spots in chrysocolla or sugilite look red and blue shift can make gray look blue in jasper or agate. These differences DO AFFECT value so always ask for at least one photo on a plain white background from your sellers. There are of course some sellers that use dark backgrounds that DO have accurate colors but why take chances with your money?
Note also that photos taken in sunlight frequently have blue shift which makes colors appear more blue and/or violet.
