    Description

    Up for bid is an original cloth patch that shows membership in the Illinois State Stock Horse Assn., Inc. This colorful patch is ‌ches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. It probably is from the 1960s, based on other items I purchased with it at a Southern Illinois estate sale. It is in very good to excellent condition. It is a little dirty, but probably could be laundered to look as good as new. I see no stitching, so I believe it probably was never worn. The Illinois State Stock Horse Association, Inc. (ISSHA) was chartered in November 1952 after a group of horsemen banded together at an unorganized horse show. Charter members formed the ISSHA in order to regulate rules and regulations for fair and objective competition. See my listings for other vintage items.
