    This is an original U.S. Civil War Model 1851 regulation Officer's Belt Buckle and Keeper. The Buckle is in Excellent Original Worn nice untouched condition. This belonged to a
    friend
    of mine who 60 years ago war it a s a teenager so he had the leather made for the Buckle and Keeper. Sixty Years ago these Buckles were probably not considered all that collectable. The brass Eagle Buckle with silver wreath is in very nice condition with a nice even patina and is stamped on the back 825. Keeper is stamped 947. He was downsizing and needed money twenty years ago so I bought it from him. It has been sitting in my desk ever since. Leather section measures 31 inches long!
