Intended for cryogenic transportation and storage of biological material, from microbiology to cell biology. In principle, these work in both liquid nitrogen (or vapor phase) storage, although sometimes tubes blow up under these conditions. Best in a mechanical freezer (-150 C minimum temperature). The CryoTubes® cryogenic vial has a marking at 1.8 mL, with internal screw threads, and a round bottom. Tubes are 48 mm long and 12.5 mm diameter.
