HEREND HUNGARIAN FILE PORCELAIN GOLD LEAF PAINTED BORZOI / RUSSIAN WOLFHOUND DOG Porcelain Figuring with natural painted eyes.
"LARGE SIZE Reclining BORZOI / RUSSIAN WOLFHOUND" Without doubt one of the most beautiful pieces of porcelain available for the breed. Inscribed on the bottom with Herend 5227, I have been unable to find out any other details on this beautiful figurine. Unusual painting, as most Herend figurines either painted in the hallmark fishnet, or naturally painted styles, this entirely gold leaf except for eyes. Flaws to the gold leaf are NOT chips, just missing the gold, you cannot feel any flaw anywhere on this item. It is a remarkably beautiful and rare collectible for the Herend collector or Borzoi lover!
