  • Condition: Cond is EF small damage. The document was created for a monthly weighing of metal in inventory to assure all was correct. Done at the Government Mint at San Luis Potosi on June 30, 1890. All balanced from the total weight with the weight of all coins on hand, quantities listed by denomination. It is signed by the head assayer of that mint, J. M. G. del Campo who was previously at the Chihuahua Mint where his initials appeared on coins as "J.C." Overall measurements are 13-1/2" wide by 8-5/8" high; there is small piece missing on the left side about 1/4" square but not square; also a fold tear on the left and right sides and a set of staple holes in the upper left corner. There is a red/black stamp at lower left so the stamp was used with both inks. More below.

    The document was created for a monthly weighing of metal in inventory to assure all was correct. Done at the Government Mint at San Luis Potosi on June 30, 1890. All balanced from the total weight with the weight of all coins on hand, quantities listed by denomination. These don't correspond to mintages but coins on hand and not required for circulation. In other words like our Federal Reserve, they are issed when there is a demand. I note that there were no 50 Cvto coins in the count. It is signed by the head assayer of that mint, J. M. G. del Campo who was previously at the Chihuahua Mint and his intials appeared on coins as J.C. The document is slightly longer than the scanner bed so parts of the first and last columns do not show. Overall measurements are 13-1/2" wide by 8-5/8" high; there is small piece missing on the left side about 1/4" square but not square; also a fold tear on the opposite side. There is a red/black stamp at lower left so the stamp was used with both ink colors.
