    he following item is originally from the “Hap” Hazard Collection of Civil War Relics. This State of New York Puppy Paw plate was recovered in a field on Benner’s Hill on The Gettysburg Battlefield (private Property w/permission) in 1985. The plate has the full SNY on it with the two paw hooks. The third hook is gone as is the rim of the plate. Anything from this part of the battlefield is practically extinct. The plate will come with a handwritten description of the plate and it’s recovery along with an 1985 photo of the original digger moments after the plate came out of the ground. The provenance is rock solid. All three items will be included with the plate which will come in a cherry wood locking case with glass top. If you want an “actual” Gettysburg recovered item, this is for you. They don’t get much better than this. An amazing relic right from the battlefield.
