    Description

    Dug Civil War Union eagle sword belt buckle. It is an 1851 Allegany Arsenal style plate with the applied eagle and wreath. The eagle and wreath are missing and the soldier snapped the buckle in half before he threw it away. It was dug in a fire pit in Northern Va. It has a reddish brown patina. It is a neat dug buckle from the War. The pictures accurately show their condition.
