Confederate Two Piece Belt Buckle. The late Confederate buckle expert Steve Mullinax placed this Virginia style pattern buckle at a rarity 5, meaning approximately 500 survive in modern day collections. Both tongue and laurel wteath were excavated together in Orange County, VA by a local relic hunter in the 1960's or 1970's. The fit is great and the buckle is a beautiful chocolate brown patina.
