    Description

    US Civil War Dragoon Officers M1851 Brown Leather Belt with an American Eagle Buckle and both Sword Hangers. All original.
    The leather is a little dry but still pliable and shows normal wear. Stitching is mostly tight. There has been either an old field repair or modification to the belt and there is one rip, review the pictures. Rare complete belt!
    I have been asked several times about the color of the leather, yes, it really is brown. Brown was typically used by the Confederate Army.
    The belt measures 40" long, it is 1 3/4" wide, the long hanger is 22 3/4", the short hanger is 10", and the buckle is 3 1/4" x 2 1/16".
