    00 bonds at 4% interest payable in Gold Coin at the City Trust Company, Boston, MA. Numbers 94&95. We are coin and currency specialists, but are struck by the freshness and boldness of the ink on these neat documents. Canceled August 17, 1909.
    Hampden County is in the Connecticut River region of Central ("Western") Massachusetts, very distinct from Boston but quite historic in its own right. There is some riffling and a tiny fold or two, but overall these have been very well preserved since the time of issue.
